Mononguete

Mononguete is in Solano, Caquetá, a territory that has suffered the effects of deforestation and environmental degradation. This project aims to implement ecological restoration techniques that allow the recovery of native vegetation, soils, forest cover and connectivity, and biodiversity and to strengthen the allied families‘ capacities. To achieve both goals, the restoration strategy includes species that can be used for self-consumption for additional economic income in the medium- and long term. The project area is distributed throughout 20 farms, where each family allocates 1 hectare for active restoration and 2 hectares for passive restoration.
