Choibo is situated in an essential wildlife corridor in the Middle Magdalena Valley. Since 2014, our partner WCS has been working to establish forest corridors that can connect isolated forest fragments. With the help of the F4F partnership, WCS will be able to create 14 new hectares of private land that will be fenced off to protect seedlings from cattle grazing. This will allow for natural regeneration without disrupting livestock systems and benefit biodiversity by connecting permanent forests.
